The EuroFIR Food Classification
The proposed EuroFIR food classification for the thesaurus and results of the online consultation. The classification system proposed endeavours to be compatible with COST Action 99 and EFCOSUM recommendations for food consumption surveys but is not meant as a recommendation for the latter. The proposed food classification (see document) will be introduced in the LanguaL thesaurus to link FCDBs in the EuroFIR network.
The EuroFIR food classification will be included in the LanguaL facet A (Product Type) with the other European food classification systems as follows:
